John – Owner
John, the owner of True North Builders, grew up in the Coeur d’Alene area and brings over 35 years of experience in the construction industry. With comprehensive knowledge in all areas of construction, he has the expertise to manage projects of any size or complexity. John is deeply committed to customer service, helping clients achieve their dream homes through personalized attention and quality craftsmanship.
Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing his passions for hunting, fishing, and wakeboarding. He is happily married to Karri.
Johnny – Superintendent
With seven years of experience in the construction industry, Johnny specializes in scheduling, micromanagement, trim, flooring, framing, and plumbing. He has played a key role in projects ranging from building yurts to constructing custom homes and apartment complexes. As a second-generation contractor, Johnny draws on invaluable lessons from his father, emphasizing dedication, clear communication, and honesty with clients.
Outside of work, Johnny enjoys hiking, fishing, reading, and is passionate about health and fitness. He treasures time with his family, including his girlfriend, Trinity, and their two-year-old daughter, Reese.
Tristan – Superintendent
Tristan brings five years of experience in the construction industry, specializing in flooring, trim, and cabinetry. As a second-generation craftsman, his expertise has been instrumental in completing projects such as a custom yurt build, several commercial property remodels, and a 54-unit apartment complex. A 2020 graduate of Coeur d’Alene High School, Tristan is driven by a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering quality craftsmanship on every project.
Outside of work, Tristan enjoys dirt biking, fishing, hunting, and exploring the outdoors. Family time is a top priority, and he cherishes spending it with loved ones.

As we grow our desire to give back to our community does too. Our North Idaho community is close-knit. Our team includes active volunteers that help in our schools, sports teams, networking, local associations and more. We are excited for next year, and look forward to helping even further through our local building associations, Habitat for Humanity, and Newby-ginnings.
